Scholarship for Masters in Management in USA and Europe receives applications

Applications for  the Ling Institute Overseas Master of Management Scholarships  are open  until April 8 . The Start MBA and MPA Program offers  partial scholarships  for MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MPA (Master of Public Administration). The Ling Institute Master of Management scholarship covers courses at universities in  the United States and Europe .  

 

MBA Scholarships

To apply for the scholarships, the applicant  must have already been approved to pursue a full-time master’s degree  at the desired university. The amount of each scholarship awarded varies depending on the candidates’ ranking in the selection process and individual need for financial support.

The Ling Institute’s goal is to help students supplement their resources, reducing the need to resort to bank loans or sacrifice personal savings.

To apply for scholarships for a master’s degree in administration abroad you must:

  • Have already been approved for a course in the United States or Europe;
  • Being Brazilian;
  • Prove the need for financial support to complete your master’s degree (family situation is a tie-breaking criterion: we will always give preference to the candidate who has the fewest alternatives to make their study project abroad viable);
  • Complete registration within the established deadline;
  • Never having participated in the dynamic stage of previous selection processes at Instituto Ling;
  • Make sure that the course you are approved for is a full-time master’s degree and has a deadline to start classes of February 1 of the year immediately following the award of the scholarship.

Those selected will be notified at the beginning of July . Scholarship values ​​vary depending on the candidate’s classification. The amounts are deposited to the winners in a checking account in Brazil after completing 50% of the course.  Registration for scholarships for a master’s degree in administration abroad

To register for the selection process for a master’s degree scholarship in administration in the United States and Europe, the candidate must fill out a  form  and present all the requested documentation through the application portal.

Documents for registration.

  • Video that answers the question: “How do you intend to contribute to the development of Brazil and the Ling Institute network?”, according to the guidelines of the statement.
  • Recent, color, passport-sized photograph;
  • CV on one page (in Portuguese or English);
  • Copy of the most recent complete statement of results, detailing the list of real and personal property and proof of delivery: a. From applicant; b. his parents; and C. his spouse (if any);
  • Academic record;
  • Copy of the results of the GMAT or, failing that, the  GRE  or Executive Assessment;
  • Copy of application, including essays;
  • University acceptance letter ;
  • Personal introduction letter, in Portuguese, in which you will express the reasons why you are applying for a scholarship and why you are worthy of receiving a scholarship from the Ling Institute (length limit: 2 pages);
  • Letter of recommendation , preferably from the employer or immediate supervisor;
  • Statement of general costs for the planned period of the course ,  containing the following information (in US$):
    • Annual course expenses (tuition, fees, pre-term, materials, etc.);
    • b. Annual personal expenses (housing, food, health insurance, leisure, etc.);
    • C. Travel expenses;
    • d. Description of available resources (savings, loans, financial assistance from parents, sale of assets, etc.);
    • and. Amount of the planned scholarship.

MPA candidates must also write a text that answers the question: “What institutional reforms would be necessary to make Brazil a more just and progressive country?” The essay must have a minimum of one page and a maximum of two, considering 30 lines per page and Arial font, size 12.

 

What are the Ling Institute scholarships like?

The Ling Institute scholarships are partial, but successful applicants can apply for other scholarships from the institute’s partners to finance the full course. In the case of the Master of Laws program, Ling Scholars accepted to IE Business School (in Madrid, Spain) will be able to apply to the university for an additional complementary scholarship.

Additionally, all Ling Fellows compete for the  Person of the Year Scholarship Program , awarded in collaboration with the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of New York (BACC) and in addition to the scholarship received.

Finally, the Ueno scholarship is a special modality created in honor of the generous donation of Humberto Ueno, a Ling Institute scholarship recipient who studied MBA at Cornell University in the period 2000/2002. The scholarship is intended for candidates admitted to the full-time MBA program at SC Johnson College of Business and approved in the Ling Institute selection process, and has a minimum value of US$20,000.00.
